Welcome to the Texas Association of County Auditors (TACA) official website.
A professional organization dedicated to promoting excellence, accountability, and integrity in county government across the State of Texas. Through our collective experience and commitment to integrity, we strive to strengthen county government operations and enhance accountability to the citizens we serve.
The mission of the Texas Association of County Auditors is to support the membership by providing education and resources to assist in the performance of their official duties in an independent, professional, and innovative manner, therefore enhancing efficient and effective county government.
Our Association’s principal goals are:
- To develop structured professional education programs to our members,
- To be responsive to the membership through enhanced communications and collaboration,
- To actively participate in the legislative process so as to improve the financial statutes to promote efficient county government; and
- To promote public awareness of the Office of the Texas County Auditor.
As the 2025-2026 President, I encourage members to actively participate in association activities, engage with fellow professionals, and take advantage of the resources available through TACA.
The Association has a number of committees that are chaired by TACA Board of Directors and Officers. These committees are very important for the Association to continue the growth and impact on county government. TACA committees are:
Education, GASB, Law Study, Bylaws, Mentoring, Audit, Audit Guide, Membership, Nominating, Sponsorship, Website, Technology, Mobilize, Institute, and Annual Site.
I thank you for your interest in and support of the Texas Association of County Auditors
