Welcome to the Texas Association of County Auditor’s website.
The purpose of this website is to provide continual access to information relating to the Office of Texas County Auditor and links relevant to Texas County Government in general.
The mission of the Texas Association of County Auditors is to support the membership by providing education and resources to assist in the performance of their official duties in an independent, professional, and innovative manner; therefore, enhancing efficient and effective county government.
Our association's principal goals are:
- To develop structured professional education programs to our members,
- To be responsive to the membership through enhanced communications and collaboration,
- To actively participate in the legislative process so as to improve the financial statutes to promote more efficient county government; and
- To promote public awareness of the Office of the Texas County Auditor.
This website serves not only the membership of the Texas Association of County Auditors, composed of approximately 194 appointed County Auditors and over 675 total members but also to reach out to other county, state, and local officials whom we serve. We also offer it to the citizens of our state as a portal to bring a greater understanding to the public of our responsibilities, duties, and mission. Therefore, we are confident that the information presented here not only promotes the mission of the Texas Association of County Auditors, but also furthers our quest for more open, accessible, and transparent County Government.
If you know of additional links or information that users of this site would find beneficial, please let us know. Sharing your audit programs, procedures, policies, efficiencies and best practices creates efficiencies, which are so needed in today's environment with our persistent busy offices where duties and responsibilities grow while our resources to perform our duties do not, for the betterment of all Texas Counties.
As with most things we do, a team effort brings the greatest achievements. The TACA Board and its hardworking committees are able to present this site's information with the help of dedicated and talented committee members. We sincerely thank the Texas Association of Counties and the County Information Resource Agency (CIRA) for serving as our website host.
We are justifiably proud of our Website and we thank you for your interest and hope that you will depart with a greater appreciation of the role we play in Texas County Government. Thank you.
While we strive to keep our site current, over a period of time, links may become broken or discontinued. If you experience unusable or redirected links, please report them to our webmaster.
